In PA bobcat meat is hard to come by for bait making since we are only allowed one per year. But groundhogs are in fact very plentiful, as well as skunks..lol The fat from a skunk has been used by many. Anyone else use these?

Groundhog is another good base bait or ingredient when processed or used fresh.

Woodchucks and muskrat and squirrel are more attainable and make awesome bait base.

Woodchucks work great for bait. I've watched yotes hang out by woodchuck holes waiting to pounce. Grind up woodchuck and mix with Dobbins bait formula

Besides using Woodchuck for personal bait, when I can shoot a fresh one the wife and I eat them.

In the 80's my uncle would have a woodchuck shoot on the weekend and all back legs were BBQ and eaten up

I have been wanting to try them. But normally they have been dead in a body grip for a while so they get tossed. That they are gone is what's important to me. They single handedly eliminated my pumpkin sales last year. Had just enough for home use left.

I shot one with my glock while mowing I put it on the mower deck for the ride home on the last turn i hit a bump and under the mower it went. Maybe next year.
