I've seen 4 seasons of Forged in Fire! I can definitely tell you that it needs to be the right temp when it's quenched, gotta use plenty of white-out and let it dry when making a canister damascus, and don't try and impress anyone by swinging a huge hammer because you'll quickly tire.
I also stayed at a Holiday Inn Express. I've seen them all too, they tire me out...all the dummies quenching in water. Don't they watch the show at all?

I forged one a lot like that. I used to have a coal forge, but when I moved I had to leave it. Looking into building a propane forge.

Who on Tman might have the Mad-skills to make this Striker? Its from my Favorite Flint-n-Steel kit. My Daughter wants it from me but I cannot find them for sale anymore. Are you a char cloth guy.....or a charred punk wood guy ? .....I graduated to charred punk wood a couple 3 years ago
