I've had some luck with Cavens Hiawatha Valley and Powder River baits but am running low and want to try something different. I'm curious what fellow trappers like to use as there's so many baits and lures to choose from I don't know what to try. Most of my sets are either pipe dream sets, dirt-holes or flat sets for coyotes only at dairy and beef farms. I try to avoid coons if at all possible but we all know how that goes at times. Just looking for some ideas. I hear beaver is a good bait but don't have a source for that. Do many trappers use beaver meat for bait?
I appreciate any advice and will ultimately learn what works for me but I'm overwhelmed by the number of choices.

Lastly, I was told there is a lure called "Sniff My @ss" out there (seriously) but can't seem to find it. Is there really a lure called that?

My grandpa swore by beaver meat. I personally use weiser western lures horse meat bait, I’ve had awesome results with it. For lures I have a couple different weiser lures, sucker punch, canine #14 and Montana long call have all done well for me, and some yodel dog.
If you try weisers stuff you won’t be disappointed. Andy doesn’t put a bait recipe on the market until it has 300+ coyotes under its belt on his personal line.

If your using pipes you can’t go wrong with some beaver tail oil , or the chunks of beaver tail from the bottom of the jar . I made a set yesterday afternoon with a pipe and some BTO and caught this muddy female this morning ! ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2020/12/full-43901-72550-27d25995_0bc7_4fcd_84dd_37e83ad8b798.png) If you look close you can see the pipe between her front and back feet !

Grahams cat creek, keg creeks showtime, and cletus apple road. My new three favs and got those to switch from years of Hiawatha valley and declining catch rates. Still a Hiawatha valley fan but change ups did me huge favors.I wouldn't hesitate to use any of those three.

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.
