We have 50 rats and about ¾ of them measure 17½" or longer green. Are these gonna fit on a standard peerless wire stretcher for rats? We have a few @ 20". The forms are I believe 21" long. I'm not sure if the hooks will work. What do you recommend to use?

For the really big ones I have some wire and wood skunk stretchers that I use. Some carboard stretchers can be made if you need to customize some for the real big ones. A nice problem to have!!

Use a ATCA Skunk/possum stretcher for the big ones.

I have a handful of old wire coon stretchers laying around. When I get the occasional hog that won't fit right on a wire rat stretcher, I will grab one of the coon stretchers, narrow it up by compressing the wire together, and use it. Makes a decent stretcher for the really big ones.

What other type forms do you have. That will determine what you can use for those bigger rats.

With short time period, I would make some quickly. If you have 30-40 potential 3xl rats and they are decent grade they may all be $5.00 plus rats and maybe a tad higher.
I would take one of the wire stretchers and duct tape the wire form to be the NAFA size at the shoulder and the base for xl rats. There are forms that you can find. I would by a 4 by 8 sheet of 1/4 inch blandex board use the pattern and cut out about 20 boards and sand the edges and put those rats on those boards. If they are in the freezer an extra week that is not a big deal. You should have enough scrap left over to make the wedges too.

Just sell those hides GREEN and you won't take that much of a hit on the price.
Shave off about 3/8ths of a inch off that first measurement then you will have a correct sized rat board. And It will gain you about 1 Inch length.Which In turn will gain you more money. In my opinion commercially sold rat boards are way to wide In the shoulders and way to wide In the nose area. And that goes double for wire rat forms.
