Hey guys never trapped rats but just checked and got one today. I don’t have time to skin tonight. 3:30 am comes quick. Can I store it while in the fridge? Or should I freeze it?

Thanks
Greg

If it were my rat, I would put it in the frig for a day or two instead of freezing whole. They come apart when skinning a lot after freezing and it makes skinning a lot more difficult and slower from my experience.

Beav as of last night and probably the rest of the year you are correct. It was unseasonably warm here recently. Change last night. 17 deg when I got up this morning. I'm sure my new flats will be froze into the creek now. It moves slow.
