A Jared and I started trapping together this year and have gotten some sets out for wolf, fox, lynx, ermine and hope to find some wolverine, marten and otter to set for as well. Running a loop about 40 miles in length but only setting half of it due to high hunting and recreation traffic on the rest.

Caught an ermine three weeks ago.

A lynx two weeks ago. Used Teds Lynx Jynx for lure, CD and a ptarmigan carcass for bait.

Then three lynx and an ermine this past week. Lynx Jynx on the first set and Meowch on the other two. All had ptarmigan carcasses for bait and CD's hanging.

Thanks for sharing some of your line! Did you get the ermine in a 110?

Had another successful check on the trapline. Picked up one lynx and one ermine, missed a couple lynx but I have no doubt they will return. The ermine keep ignoring traps set for them and using #3's as trampolines.

Nice cat! I had to step up my pan tension on my #3 sized traps to keep the ermine and marten from firing them.

You and I do trap some different terrain but the animals are the same. Can't wait to get back out there tomorrow and see whats in store for us.

This weeks check sure had some highs and lows. Started out with a low of someone stealing a wolverine we caught in our first set. Then about halfway through we picked up a lynx abs one of our last sets had an ermine. Some fresh wolf sign again. Hadn’t seen any in 2-3 weeks now. Also ran across some fresh wolverine sign towards the end of our line. [Linked Image]

We certainly are but wouldn't mind some canines as well. Still have more traps and snares to put out so maybe we will luck into some.
