As we are drowning in tree-rats (squirrels), I took one whacked it in half and chucked them in dirt holes. Scored 1 red and a Yote this morning. I think the tail was a good visual attractor.

Can't get any more natural than that. Sometimes for a change up I'll throw a mouse down the hole

I wish we could use natural attractors like a squirrel tail. Unfortunately it’s illegal here to have any kind of bait visible within 30 feet of a foothold

I would check the laws on using game animals for bait.

My son has been doing well with mice/rats. Just bought an itty bitty live trap, been doing better with it than on "the line!" Lol

Just waiting for things to get cold and snowy. Then the roll bales of hay are Mouse/Fox/Yote magnets. Just grab a jar of Just Mice bait and see what happens.
