Most "friendships" are easily made, so it shouldn’t be any surprise when they're easily broken. I just wrote that down SJA. Thank you.

Done taking people hunting, trapping or any nice thing when it comes to these two things. Seems to cause more problems than good. Think it cost me a trail camera Sunday... Yesterday had friend call me wanting to know were to setup for calling coyotes with a west wind on some places I took him last year. I guess he liked the spots and called the owner and got permission. Took another guy mule deer hunting a couple years ago now 2 different of his friends are going out and hunting same spots. Sucks.I learned that lesson with hunting and fishing spots the same as you.The hard way.

I learned in my teens about this. Killed a pretty nice buck on the hunting lease and told people where. The next season went back and only saw hunter orange and not deer. Lesson learned.

Peacocks are good eatin' taste like chicken for sure........... Have to get rid of the feathers or may be asked to leave.:)
Probably be a bunch of educated animals by the time I get back out. That isn't funny because it's probably more true than you realize but the blessing is you can teach me the next level of trapping

Don't know if the guy is guilty, but I told 2 farm hands I had 2 coyote sets on the East side of a creek. The 1 guy said he has trapped coyotes. Next day my 550 is gone with a cut chain. Already caught a coyote there so there was an existing catch circle. Trapped this area over 40 years and NEVER a stolen trap. Kind of what happened with my camera. Friend of the landowner ask him to rifle hunt. Landowner said I already had permission and told them to call me to see if I cared. I told him (against my judgment) he could hunt Monday through Wednesday. Think he snuck in on Sunday when knew I would be at Church got caught on the camera so they stole it. Yes sir- Kind of thinking about buying a camera for setting this location next year. You have to drive a 2 track to get to my set areas.

I've had bad experiences along those lines too.Took a predator trapper on my beaver line because he said he wanted to see what beaver trapping was all about only to go back the next year and find him trapping the ponds that I took him to.Had one guy watch me set up a culvert for mink, the next year I found his traps in my spots, and he got mad at me because out of spite I set up around him!I took a relative new to the area deer hunting ,the next fall before season I found the seat I use (a stump)had been removed, and 4wheeler tracks down the trail.Found out later the relative had a tree stand there and was claiming the area for himself(state land).I learned my lesson.

Thats crazy telling people where you trap and hunt or fish. That would almost be as bad as telling someone your best trapping sets/methods.
Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

Yes sir, we all been there unfortunately. Fortunately I also have friends that are the salt of the earth.
Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)
