I seen on a lot of YouTube "under the ice muskrat trapping" vids where you folks use a cordless drill and auger combination to make your ice holes.

Can anyone offer up a brand/model number of a cordless drill and brand/model number of an auger to go with your cordless drill when using it for ice work that you're happy with? Since the cold is going to deplete the battery power, how many holes can you usually get out of one battery in cold winter weather out of your combination?

Thanks in advance for the suggestions.

I have a 6 inch k-drill that works well. You can overlap holes with it and easily make a big opening if needed. I don’t know if all the brands are that way. I run a Milwaukee 18 v lith ion battery 6 ah. I haven’t needed more than one to set out a dozen traps. I’ll ice fish with it hole hopping drilling a bunch of holes without changing batteries.
I got my setup from reeds outdoors. Came with three batteries. Happy with the setup. We’ve got the ice, Just wish we had more rats around.
