I’ve said this many times, but I have to say it again. Mike Kelly’s trap pans are awesome. Easy to install, very affordable, and they allow us western cat trappers to use smaller traps which means we can fit more in our backpack for those long steep hikes. I don’t think this 42” Tom could fit anymore fur in this Bridger 1.65. When you have to use 10’ cables to tie off, you need a good pad catch. This cat took a flying leap off a Boulder and then a couple good strides going down hill and because of how deep this pad catch was, it was not going to pull out. With a mediocre catch, I would have watched this cat run off.

Below is a link to the pan I use one most of my Bridger 1.65. The MB550 expanded pan also works for them.

I have some 2 Victor Prof. They are a good mod. The only thing I did was narrow them about 1/8" on each side.

I can't speak to canine/cat traps but they work great on my muskrat and mink traps.

Using them myself for first time this season on pocket sets for coon/mink. Definitely has thrown catches up.

Same here. I have a dozen welded on and a dozen that I used rivets on. I tried rivets the first year just in case I didn't like them it would be easy to remove. I liked them a lot and so I welded them on another dozen. I wanted to see how long the rivets would last so i didn't weld those ones. I'm on my second season with them and I've caught many grey fox and a number of bobcats with them and they are still on their. The ones I used 3 rivets on are still tight, but the ones i used 2 rivets on have gotten a little loose but still on there good.
