I'm working on limited space so was looking at getting a compact fleshing beam stand set-up. Was looking at getting a metal fleshing beam stand, but only found them sold through Schmitt Enterprises and they're currently not available. Anyone know where else I could get a metal stand? Or alternatively, anyone know where I could get, or plans on how I could create, a collapsible fleshing beam stand set-up (not wall mounted)?

I’ve seen lots of compact of folding beams posted on here, but I’m no help. I think there are some threads in the archives. Take a look there. Good luck.

I bought a metal fleshing beam stand from Cumberland's in Owatonna MN. You might want to give them a try.

I've got mine mounted to the wall using a door hinge, with the leg mounted on another door hinge underneath. When not in use, the whole assembly flips up against the wall and get held in place with a bungy cord. I imagine with a little creativity you could make a mobile version. You can see it in the background of this pic, it's the only pic I have saved on my phone with it.

I bought a blem beam from f&t and built the box from scraps around the house and then bolted the steel into it to get it to the length I wanted. All you need is a wall or something solid to put it up against. [Linked Image]
