To bad duke doesn’t make a single spring 5” trap. I bet they would be better. I have bought several different sizes of bridger bg’s and seem to have to work on the triggers/dogs a lot. Dukes seem to have better triggers and dogs. Imo

Or at least sharpen the dies at more frequent intervals.
There is often a ridge in the center of the material, indicating the material is not cutting cleanly, tearing part of the way.

Traprjohn, I will have to check that out as I did not examine the dog notches well for cleaness. Removing the notched trigger holder(anyone know their official name?) hasn't been the most difficult as I already switch out a lot of them to circle trigger anyway(really not needed for den/run setting or baited). I have a few dozen Duke 155's I have for marten trapping(which as much as I'd like to probably won't get to again) so I will probably remove a spring and make them 150's(can always put spring back on if 155's wanted again).

I've learned enough thru the years to now know that I don't know enough. KNOWLEDGE IS FREEDOM.

I just received a dozen new Duke 110 magnums. After cleaning I test set two of them and neither will require any tuning to be tripped in either direction. If the other 10 are like this maybe Duke has changed something? Also, the shipping box reads made in Korea. Weren't they originally manufactured in China? And they are strong.
