I have a urine post set on the corner of a wood lot and two open fields. Got a little snow the other day and this morning had a set of yote track walk by within 3 feet of the set and kept going, he never even stopped. Been a week or so since I freshened up the post, but sure he smelled it. Guess some times they just don't have to pee. Any insight or thoughts ?

I’m not a flat set or post guy but yes sometimes they just walk by. Quality of urine also comes to mind and what was behind the post and how tall and thick was it. Sorry for all the Ands. lol

Couple of thoughts in the fall I do not use much urine,,, pretty much baiting a dirthole with bait & urine when I make a dirthole, most time I use a flatset,,, but if you got alot of coyotes bait and urine will rule the day because of competition between them and they get bolder
Most of time is lure or 2 lures at a set or bait lure at a set
Once we get to the middle of this month January, urine and gland lure comes out and no bait unless fresh fresh or a bit gland base lurer something they want to wear. When deer season or elk season is on they are or have been eating deer, elk, pretty hard to get them to take a
commercial bait when all this fresh stuff is around pretty regular. Curiosity Lurie's help me out a bunch. But the coyote rut is coming, they do get less fussy and cover.more ground soon.

I have been screwed by deer hunters dumping their buchered deer carcasses. Very little action. Lots of opossum, skunks and a few good natured farm cats which I was able to turn loose. They even let me pick them up and pet them.

Just released one today, big tom, and I find that hard to believe lol

I just did today, so we will see.
