I have sucked up many a coon with the combine picking corn. It's not pretty. The Flail type stalk chopper turns critters into hamburger too. Again, not pretty.

I would say a poor excuse of a coyote hunter shot it and left it in a field. The farmer then running it over and bailing it up without knowing. As a coyote hunter and trapper both that is a very fast way to lose permission to trap or hunt. It makes a nasty mess for a farmer to have to clean up. Not to mention cattle rarely eat hay that an animal has died ans decayed in.

Farmer I drive truck for caught a coyote in the cornhead by the throat. The head stopped, so he backed up and there hung the yote. Why would he set there with the combine bearing down on him. He had really good fur and looked normal in every way.

I've hit some coons, grinners and rabbits with a sickle bar mower - it can do the job about as well.
