Whats the best way to present red fox gland lure and what type of situations would I use it in?
Cheers

In a dirt hole, I scrape a little on the inside of the hole. For a post set, like a corn stalk, set your trap, toss a couple guide sticks to hopefully guide them in with a dab of gland on top of that 12" corn stalk. Sometimes I put 1 or 2 drops of urine on the gland. Just keep it simple. Gland is very versatile. Just don't over do it. Just a dab will do ya !!

I think it depends on the gland lure as they very from straight pure gland that represent more of a true animal odor to others that have less true glands and more what I would call curiosity ingredients to the point were the glands are a side odor at best. Both have there place.

Ok I think the brand is - Cavens - Minnesota Red. I've put some in a hole with a trail camera on it.
Wasn't sure whether it's better to use it around the breeding season, or if I can use it together with a food lure/ dirt hole set.
Thanks for the replies too @Yes Sir, @Greybeard there's sorghum on one of my properties so can set up a the scent on a stalk near a trail funnel point.

I put some red fox gland lure on the underside of a small log with a squirt of red fox urine - so a flat set (no trap, our season is over). Did this pre-snow and after 4 or 5 inches of snow, it was dug up and urinated on. I was using JC Conner's red fox gland lure - straight gland lure.

Use it in a small hole, or on a rock for the outside blocking.
