Someone in the trapper and predator caller magazine used to offer a mix and match deal for one price. I bought a dozen of mixed makers and would not be afraid to set any of them but for the money you can’t beat the deal from Kendal at the conventions. I bought 2 dozen of them for like $80 a dozen and they come with a Wolf fang type anchor on chains ready to go in the ground.
They are a pull only no bs coon catching piece of steel. what brand does Kendal sell?

Im one of those guys that like to have every trap I own be the same. As far as dps, I have duffers, dukes, bridgers, no bs, lil griz, wolf creek, coon daggers, freedom brand, z traps, and some knock off brand I got one time cheap. My favorite is the no bs, but I like the dukes too. Im not a fan of push pull triggers. For sure, I would stay away from the freedom brand dps, and duffers. The wolf creeks are a great trap too for the price. But, I know what your saying about trying a varity. Thats me with coil springs lol. In order to get the whole varity, youll probably have to hit up a couple websites. I would check minesota trapline, fnt post, and schmitt enterprises.

This recommendation is based upon a tremendous amount of experience doing ADC work, fur trapping, and predator management trapping.
I have been trapping for more than 40 years and am 57 years old. I trap for a living. I am very serious about the money that I invest and the return I expect on my investment. Also I do not waste my time working with junk equipment. Time is my most valuable resource.
I will only use one brand of dog proof trap for fur trapping and predator management trapping. The trap that I use and recommend is the PCS Feather Light.
When I am fur trapping I want fast results. When I am doing ADC work or predator management trapping and someone is paying me to trap, I need to give them fast results not excuses. I get no misfires and no pullouts - but I am a good trapper too.
I buy them 4 dozen at a time. They had some cosmetic seconds on sale that were a great deal.
In my opinion all other dog proof traps have one or more weaknesses. The Feather Light has no weakness. It has a cast aluminum body, stainless steel trap components, a good chain with plenty of swivels, a substantial support / stabilizer, a pull only trigger, and is made in the USA. What more could be wanted in a dog proof trap? I am not affiliated with PCS in any way. This is my honest opinion. Give them a try. I do not own one other brand of dog proof trap.
