Anybody bed with cover hulls ? If so can you explain the process? I’ve been using wax dirt but the coyotes seem to be refusing to commit they always stop right at my trap ,I’ve even had them dig a little in the bed. I’ve tried peat moss but can’t get a trap solid.Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I use peat. I bed the trap with DRY dirt on the outside, then use peat on the INSIDE of the trap (kinda like a pan cover), then some dry dirt over the top. I do use some 50/50 glycol around the jaws as I see fit.

I use the cover hulls the same exact way as Yukon John described. I like them as they dont absorb water like the peat does in wet conditions. i do use peat sometimes too though.
