Hi Guys,
I am looking to add a couple dozen single spring 6” body grips for muskrat traps. Victor doesn’t make a single spring, but I like their 4 way triggers. Any suggestions that have good triggers?

Used 160's minus one spring have been the most economical way for me. For mrats they don't have to have the strongest spring, IMO. $5-6 dollar per trap or less depending on the deal you make and sell the removed springs $2 ea and you have a price that is hard to beat. Otherwise there are a couple of stock 159's(single spring 160) available. The triggers can also be replaced if you are really set on 4-ways. I drill out the rivet in the trigger anyway and replaced with nut /bolt as I often switch between standard wires(for baited setting) and circle trigger for blind setting.

All the same can be done with 155's to get SS 150's(5x5). Also 220's if you need SS 7x7 BG's.

I've learned enough thru the years to now know that I don't know enough. KNOWLEDGE IS FREEDOM.

Buy the ones with 2 springs. It's not over kill when trapping rats. And you can always put the safety on one spring. And a 160 with 2 springs Is a lot easier to stabilize then a trap with one spring. And the 160s w 2 springs can be used for coon.
