I've caught them in attics that way using peanut butter and apple. Havent tried it outside.

i use a marshmallow with peanut butter on it put onto the trigger of the 110, i then put it up on a tree running up and down and when they are coming down or going up the get it

I use this rig on barn rats and it’s deadly. Don’t see why it wouldn’t work on squirrels. Peanut butter and sunflower seeds in the bottle cap. BMI 55 mag.

The wife are bent at a 90 degree under the cap. Never have lost one.
