I was going through some old threads and wanted to share experience I had this year. This set was originally a trench set with a 3 inch auger. Skunk was the first critter to visit. In the end I caught 5 skunks 5 red fox 2 coyote and 1 bobcat in this trap. The dirt hole/trench is now 9 inches in diameter

Must be a great location! That's a lot of fur so one set. Especially if there isn't a carcass around there from a cow or deer. Way to go.

There was a deer carcass at the beginning of the season about 100 yds from the set. Land owner wanted me in there before the deer season. I didn’t catch the coyotes until the forth week they were set which was the last week

With that much smell at a set it'll draw critters in for sure.
