Sleet and freezing rain in north central NC. Trees and wires are iced but not enough to break stuff yet. Hope it stays that way! Same here the barbed wire is twice as thick now patchy ice in places but the sun is coming this week. Yep, it takes sun to get rid of ice and frost will go fast with just a few degree difference in the up direction.

We got between 4 and 6 inches last night... the temp are about 36 at this time with a misty rain. There is a large mass of of rain and warm air pushing in from the WSW and has Ohio cut in half. top half getting snow the bottom half getting rain. Where I live we are right on the E to W line. Supposed to get freezing rain to a couple inches more snow by morning.

UPDATED SNOW MAP: Another big snowstorm for Pennsylvania, another northward shift. The latest forecast model data suggests heavier accumulation farther north and west with a widespread 6-12" possible. The heaviest snow may fall in an area from the Capital Region northeastward, including the Poconos and Endless Mountains. Mixing will still be possible in southwest and southeast PA, but this should be an all-snow event for most. Because of the long-duration nature of this storm (precip not ending until Tuesday), there will be some compaction with the snow (keep in mind for measurements). Travel will be impacted for the next few days with snow-covered roads and poor visibility (especially in any bursts of heavy snow with 1-2"/hr snowfall rates). How common is it for some PA stations to see multiple 12"+ snowstorms in a single snow season? We're compiling the stats now!
Eh...wot?
