In addition to foot traps, I fence snare for coyote control down here in Texas. I don’t worry about fur damage at all. It is pretty much worthless here.

Has anyone used the Senneker Shock Lock? I’m always looking for a better, more aggressive lock. The price ($68 per 100) is a little steep. Just wondering if they are worth it. Plus it has to be shipped from Canada from SnareOne. I’m not sure how slow or expensive that would be. If anyone has had experience with them, I’d appreciate comments.

I make my snares with Dakota Deathblow locks now on 5/64 cable. I do not use a break away device. I just use a small steel nut and a bend in the cable by the lock. I’ve snared nearly 500 coyotes over the years with my snare setup, but I’m always looking for a better “mouse trap”.

First time I’ve heard of these locks. Looks like they’re going to be a winner
