It has been a couple weeks getting time to make this post. You guys may remember but I take a one week vacation every year to trap. I trap on the 8 acres at my house just across the line in Arkansas, my brother in laws 300 acres in Oklahoma that I deer hunt on and a 5,000 acre hunting club in Oklahoma that I get my dues paid by doing this one week of trapping. I know tailgate pictures are boring but I'll post them just to show the variations of what I catch from night to night. The funny thing that doesn't show is the variations from one property to the next. None of the catches made at the house make the tailgate and some of the really bad coyotes don't make the trip all the way back to camp. I use my pickup at my brother in law's every day and the Polaris Ranger at the hunt club. My little wagon gets used in the pasture at home. Sometimes I catch at all three locations but sometimes I may get skunked at one and do real good at the others. I've caught a black coyote at my home each of the last two years. Last year I caught 9 coyotes on the 8 acres with 1 black one. This year I only caught 3 at home but two were black. I think I put a hurt on them last year. I also had never caught a fox at home and this year I caught two. Nothing fancy but I'll also show a couple sets. Only trap used is the MB550. The weather was good this year with a couple light rains and nothing to extreme on temps. The warmest night is the night with only coon and possum. I ended up with 17 coyote, 6 bobcat, 6 fox, 21 coon and 20 possum. No skunk! I think the MB 550s eliminate some skunk catches. A lot of pictures to follow.
