Imagine being jarred awake at 3:00am to the sound of shattering glass, as an armed criminal slams through your sliding door and forces his way into your home bent on robbery, rape, or murder. Your first instinct would be to grab the firearm you keep near your bedstand and do what you must to defend yourself and your loved ones.

But, if Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi get their way and pass S.190/H.R. 748, their so called Safe Storage Law, you will be facing criminal charges for defending ourselves in your own home. Sen. Dick Blumenthal and Rep. Rose DeLauro pre- filed this bill days ago.

This bill would force you to store your firearms in a gun safe 24 hours a day if you have children in your home or even have children visit your home, or faces criminal charges.

If passed into law, this bill will get innocent people murdered in their own homes by criminals who will ignore this ridiculous law.

This is all part of the radical left's non-stop war against gun owners who are facing threats of fines and jail time just for being gun owners, while Antifa thugs can burn, riot, and loot their way across the country with no consequences.

This bill is a dream come true for home invaders bent on robbery, rape, and murder as it makes it all but impossible for you to fight back against them in your own home.

I can think of one person that wont be abiding by that law if passed.

I know of two then.

I guess they won't like that my children have access to their own tools. Home invaders may think the adults are the threat the have to worry about. Lol my young kids will dispatch them as fast and efficient as they do coons and coyotes.

Apparently I can open my safe in seconds or I was up and doing an inventory of my safe contents when the intruder broke in, either way I win and they lose.

Upon arrival, the police won't be able to hear, from the dead person on the floor, the sequence of events outlining when I took the gun out of the safe and fired upon him/her...but I will be there to tell them all about how I used my key to open the safe, unboxed the ammo, and loaded the weapon before using it...

Not enforceable until a kid gets your gun and shoots himself or another.

What will be the definition of "Children) 1-5 or up to 21 ??? What if a "Child" breaks in to your house do you then have to lock up your gun

We have safe storage laws here. You dont want them. A lady I knew was killed because of it. If you live rural like I do you can have a rifle out for protection, but her husband obviously didnt know that and didnt have time to get a gun out of the safe when a grizzly came through the living room window.

None of this should surprise anyone. Biden and Harris ran on it.

The only way that can be enforced is if a child gets one of your guns and commits a crime or negligent shooting with it. My kids had their own guns in their own rooms growing up and CJ already keeps his BB gun in his own room now. In a few years he’ll have his own rifle and shotgun as well.

Once the red flag laws are passed some pos can be in your house and complain you aren’t storing your guns properly (the complaint doesn’t even have to be true) and that will be reason for them to give you a visit. You won’t be able to trust anyone. Sad.
Basically if you have enemies you won’t have legal guns for very long. That’s the Democrat way. Freedom haters.

Doesn’t have to be an invited guest. Red flag laws suck. Could be your neighbor, repair man etc. That’s life here in the commy state of IL.
