I've bought this machine in 2001 new. I got a real good deal on it because very few were sold in 2000 due to lack of snow. I only use it for fishing and trapping. It has around 695 miles on it. I had an operator's manual for it, but it somehow got lost. I can't get it to idle. I was wondering if there was anywhere to get an operator's manual or if anyone knew how to adjust it so it will idle? Every time I stop it will kill if I don't keep my thumb on the throttle. The engine I'm quite sure is a Suzuki with a single carb. Any help would be appreciated.

Those carbs are very simple, before you start trying to make any adjustments (if there even are any) take it apart and give it cleaning with a real carb cleaner like Chem-dip or something similar; not just a spray can of "carb cleaner". It's just gummed up jets and other little passages in the carb that are blocked.

OK.
Thanks.

For a manual check Countrycat.com they have a lot of manuals, both operator manuals and Factory Repair Manuals online for Arctic Cats. But I suspect waggler is right, take the carb off, apart and give it a thorough cleaning and it will probably fix it. I know very little about carbs, but I know 9 times out of ten when I have a chainsaw, snowmachine, ATV etc. that is having carb issues, I take it apart, can't see anything wrong, clean it (lots of times they look clean) and put it back together and it runs great... even though I have no idea where the actual issue was.

Try adjusting it first. It is pretty simple.
