Thank you for posting this! I remember at the Ohio trapping convention when I was a kid, there was a guy showing us kids how to wrap cable like this. Thought it was one of the most impressive things, as it turned out just about seamless. I'd asked a few guys about it, and they didn't know what I was talking about. Nice to see it done again!

Those cables remind me of working on the towboat. We had 35 foot boat rigging that had eyes spliced in both ends similar to what the first guy in the video is working on. When you dropped tow you would coil the 35 footers and tie them up to put back on the boat. Most were fine but some had developed enough memory to where they looked like a snare after a beaver catch with not enough swivels. Didn't even have to look to know when somebody was working on trying to wrestle one in to submission, you could hear the colorful language from anywhere on tow.
