Does anybody know if there is a market for beaver meat? I don’t have any for sale or anything I’m just curious, seems like it would be an awesome bait base.

It is and there is. Kaatz Bros sells it by 5 gal buckets. So they probably buy too.

Closest to ya might be Trapshed Supply and Brian at Southern Snares.
Both have beaver based baits and sites you can ask them.

Meat is cheap..very cheap...if you can find a local buyer. You wont make $$ from meat if you have to ship it to buyer....unless they pay shipping...then it may only be a few $ per carcass.

Castor is your best $$ from southern beavs. Can sell/trade raw/frozen for about $35/pound. You can dry it and ship to certain buyers for up to $80 or more/pound, but properly dried weighs a lot less than green, so you may not make much extra $$ drying it.

Can also sell/trade oil sacs raw/frozen for about $10/pound.

There is a small market for tails...$1 to $3 per tail, raw/frozen, depending on buyer and size.

Green frozen pelts to Groenewold Fur. They buy thru Alabama in March. But currently only about $6/pelt.
