If i get brave enough to remove them, can i freeze them full in a plastic or glass jar? Is there a market for selling frozen full pods? I live in a small farm town, if i milked them, the whole town would know it!

The brave part is poking them pods no turning back from there. Best to remove and tap the pods while they are still soft once they crust over they won’t seal around the needle very well (you poke they leak). Keep in glass pure quill in direct contact with plastic for long periods will melt most plastics.

I see what your saying and why you want to go that way it’s just the value issue comes into play someone might come up short on the deal. You can stuff the empty pods in a half gallon jar to where you can barely get the lid on it. You grind them pods and your short of a half gallon when you grind that stuffed jar up.
If you and the buyer are ok with a guesstamit then go for it.

Yeah law dog, its the squirting it in a container is wear i'd get in trouble. So i cant just sell the frozen full pods? Back when I was collecting skunk essence, I stretched a surgical glove over the mouth of a pint mason jar. I would stick the needle through it and No back spray that way. This was when I was in the UP of MI trapping skunks for KI Sawyer while I was there. Dad wanted some essence, so I saved a bunch for him.

Drain em before you remove them.
Not like working on a ticking time bomb than. It’s really not that bad.
I just remove them (empty) and mush em down in a pint jar to freeze. Mush em down good before they freeze and you can add to it and still have a full pint when done.

Be careful when you thaw those empty pods out they can build up pressure and expand if they sit to long they will come rushing out when the lid is removed. I think they grind better when half frozen less stringy.
