I've got a fox pro can't remember the model. It was fairly inexpensive and does well on battery use. Eric

I also have a Foxpro now. I do know if you add one of those spinner attention getters or even a bigger speaker for more volume you will eat battery power pretty fast. I would think cold would kill batteries to. When I call in the cold I use a flexible camo colored 6 pack cooler to put my caller in along with a few hand warmer packs.

I have used a foxpro with rechargeable AA batteries. My mother got some cheap call with only a few sounds on it that was actually easier on batteries and seemed to call coyotes in fine, but not as versatile and I don't know the brand, something Chinese. The ability to download and add a huge variety of calls to the Foxpro is nice.

Upper end Foxpro here also, but it wasn't exactly inexpensive.

Mouth calls will be the most inexpensive and served me well for years. And a lot easier to lug around when running and gunning.

I ran the Foxpro down to -7 so far this year without issue. I've had it for three years but really went out calling pretty hard the last month. Otherwise here and there for a stand or two. I still haven't replaced the first four AA batteries.

I have had 3 or 4 fox pro. Never had any trouble with one. If any software updates come out. Ship it back they will update it for free. I am running the Shockwave model. I always buy the fox pro Rechargeable batteries. Spend the money get a brand that's been a round for a while.

X-wave user here so I can’t really help out on the lower end option. I can say the rechargeable batter it came with lasted through several below zero days without issue.

I have a higher end foxpro but it generally sits at home now as I use the cheapest model of the Lucky Duck brand of calls. I found it on sale for about 100$ shipped. It is WAAAYYY easier on batteries than my Foxpro and probably louder. However, it is limited to 12 sounds, but it calls coyotes just as well it seems to me. It is a lot simpler to use the remote is maybe the biggest plus to me.

I'm the odd man out as normal.
I use my phone and a blue tooth speaker. The speaker only has a 100 foot range.
Guess I'm just cheap. Lol
