Do many of you use those products from Ted's? Just curious. The pictures on his website (for the H.O.T. latch) are kind of hard to visualize. They seem like they might be quick, versatile, strong, handy, & reliable

I used a couple on marten and ermine traps this season and liked them. I think its one of those things once you start using them and get familiar then they are handy to have.

Just picked up 4 dozen. Will be using them next season. Been messing with them a lot and learning how they can be used, in many different ways. Like Marten set's or to attach wolf drags with them. Looking forward to using them next season, to speed up things and get rid of using so much wire.

Here's a little info on them

https://tedsfurshed.square.site/pro...ue&sa=false&sbp=false&q=true

I'm not sure if it's just the fastener or if they come with a cable. More info is available on Ted's Fur Shed website.

They are actually pretty popular I've sold a LOT of them. I first posted them on trapperman 13 years ago. They come on my wolfers and super 3's. They are really fast, will pay for themselves by not having to buy wire, eco friendly as you're not leaving wire in the woods and NEVER fail. I've been using them for 14 years. They go on your traps so you boil, dye, and wax them with your trap so you're making your set more scent proof by not using any wire.

After reading all the above post and clicking on the link provided I still have no idea what you guys are talking about.
Why doesn't someone take a few minutes video with their phone posted on YouTube and give us a link. Thanks

How about simply a picture of one, so we can see what it looks like. Ted's picture on his website just looks like a pile of steel in a bin, you can't tell what the actual latch looks like.

If you go to my you tube channel at akntrpr's outdoors there is a video that explains it a little better. I'm going to do a video just on them that will have more close up pics to explain it. I'll let you know on here when I get it posted. The pic of the bin is the togggle to make your own I call that a link I sell them already made up that is what I call the H.O.T. latch they are in the catalog also.

There must be a slip noose on one end then there Is a piece of flat stock that moves on the cable. you place the cable around a tree slip the flat stock through the slip noose then pull the slip noose closed. Any thoughts?
A close up picture would help a lot.

I don’t know about the rest of you but I always like seeing old wire, traps, flagging when I’m trapping. Let’s me know others have been there in the past.
Now fresh stuff from another current trapper? Not so happy about that!

Yah Mike especially when it’s traps that are abandoned I could use.

I will need to get a dozen or so sometime. I rigged up some cable with loop end to close and have anchor cable with giant washer on the end to attach. These looks more secure to set.
