Guess two sets there would’ve been under setting, lol. Lol yes I might have to rethink my strategy. I will say this after watching about 30 minutes of coyotes working sets in the last week. And putting in hundreds of tests sets in in the last 3 years, I have about as many questions as I do answers. I can guarantee I wouldn't have caught every coyote that smelled the set in the videos no matter how many sets I had out. I also see some things that leads me to theories that may not line up with every thing we think goes on.

So I assume that If your testing bait you should be doing It during the time your actually going to be using It?

But If your testing In July your test may not be credible if they just walk by It since they aren't hungry. So I guess what I'm saying Is It waste of time and bait.

My thinking is, if they eat it today they will eat it tomorrow I test year around and my findings so far is if it's a great lure or bait it's great year around. Remember every one's says gland lure after the first of the year. Look at date on pic. This is a bait in February. I've tested this bait Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. I've seen this bait catch 200 plus coyotes in 2 weeks on one guys line.

Then would just lure be more effective then bait? Good question. I lean a little bit towards a good lure is pretty good here but I know guys here that wouldn't set a trap without bait down the hole and by their catches I wouldn't argue with them even a little. I will say the bait being test here is what I would call a matrix formulation, it covers all the bases in my opinion.

In other words your bait Is actually a BAIT/ LURE. It's not like your just shoving a just plain chipmunk down the bait hole.
