Only because the border is closed I can’t get it to my buyer now, I need to seal it in a bucket and start on the next batch. The breed was heavy last week they are moving a lot. They are up and down during the year but hot now getting a lot of calls again.

The sacks are full but they seem dehydrated lacking body mass it makes it tough to get the pole shot working they are so “soft” The hide is tough and even with a new “sticker” they just feel mushy lacking any real mass. Plus the are on the fight now just waiting to spray something.

I had a triple the other day all males a good distance apart anytime you get more then one at a time they get aggressive how they know another skunk is around the corner of a build I cannot figure that out.

Jerry, what's the going rate per oz now? Don't have to be specific, just ballpark.

How long did it take you to fill all those bottles? Also, how many pole casts does it take to fill all those bottles?

Love the smell of skunk. But I'm lucky to get 10oz a year.

Around $20 per ounce now, that’s about 14 months worth my buyer picks up during our cat season most years. I’d say about 3/4 to oz per skunk average some of the jumbos close to 2oz out of 1 skunk but our skunks can get huge.

Wow. That's a lot of juice!
I've kept some but never sold any. I talked to a buyer once and said it could go bad. It sounded like I was not to get any solids in it and that's what could cause it to go bad. Also it sounded undesirable to have solids in it for their purposes.

I thought the yellowish stuff on the bottom wasn't allowed. Apparently a bit is ok?
How do you preserve it? If it's 14 months worth do you keep it in the shed year round and it can hack both summer and winter temps as long as it's out of the sun?
Is it a special red wax you're using? I've wanted to target skunks more for essence but I don't know how to target them specifically unless they're seen or smelled by someone.

The mustard to me is the lasting scent more then the quill itself if you get sprayed and get hit with the quill wash that shirt but get hit with the mustard burn that shirt is my thinking. I remove and tap the pods so no other fluids get into the mix. I found some old 1 oz bottles that sat at room temp for a few years it still stunks. LOL

Never seen quill go bad I kept civet quill for years no problem, if it loses some power I cannot tell the difference but my sniffer is burnt. Skunks have a preservative quality to them that’s why it takes a year or more for the pods to break down. The grease if pure will not rancid like most other animal grease products will making it valuable to making lure.

Do you drive it across or why can’t you get it here? That’s a lot of stink.

I wondered, there’s no safe way to ship I guess? Is there a lure maker it goes too? Curious maybe I’ve used some of your skunk juice in the lures I’ve bought up here.

You don’t ship it the Post Office would toss it in a heartbeat and say perishable without a second thought I sleep better when it’s picked up.
