In the morning darkness March 6,1836,the Mexican army stormed the walls of the Alamo. Springing from their sleep, the 187 defenders, were able to stop the first 2 attacks. The third wave was able to get over the walls and in less than an hour, kill all the defenders.
The only reinforcements were 34 men from Gonzales that made it into the Alamo and had arrived a few nights before the end.
We should always Remember The Alamo, and the brave men that gave their lives for Texas.
