Let me know how that goes.
I had a big boar drag a full block up a creak bank and out onto a flat picked bean field for everyone driving by to see.

Should work as long as it’s heavy enough. I guess ya can drive near your sets?
I just drive Berkshire cable stakes personally since I can’t drive near many sets. Bout .60 each

Never seen a creek without trees or at least roots to wrap a cable around. I’d be lost trapping outside of SWGA, lol.

I’d be temped to shove a 4’ fiberglass fence post through the hole and into the mud, just to keep it from being dragged where you can’t see it.

That sounds like the best idea yet!

Well if you can drive a fiberglass fence pole Into the ground why not just use a rebar stake and forget about the cement block and the fence pole.

Here In southern WI i can take you out on miles of creeks that have NO trees along the banks. We have lots of creeks running through pasture land with no trees. But It's not very good coon ground.

I had a big coon pull a full 12" block I found on sight about 30 yards. It looked like some one ran a 4' tiller the entire distance. Some to keep in mind if you need to keep them out of sight.

Coon can drag RR plates quite a ways too. But they do make a good trail.

Indeed
I had an otter get in a coon set and pull 4 10 lb blocks of steel nearly 80 yds.

You’d be wise to go bigger Bigfoot.

On soft ground I use a 2" Pogo with 30" of 1/8" cable hooked to the chain. So far I haven't had one pull out yet.

I cannot remember all the details but I do remember reading a great article by Bob Noonan. If I recall correctly, Bob had a raccoon set in a small brook or spring run. I believe he fastened the trap to a cement block. The raccoon dragged the block onto a church lawn. I love drags, I really do. When ever I use one, that story is in the back of my mind. LOL

No updates from Bigfoot? You guys think he's still out looking for the coon that carried off his concrete block?
