Nice video, do you have one where your feeling for the channel or what do you use to know your in the channel. Do you have to remove any debris or can the trap just be set in.

I hate those big houses, there is always a backdoor exit that is hard to find.
I would have put it as 8-10 beaver in that house with 2 generations or is the predation hard on them there Jim ?
One poke with the spud and you are through is dicy walking.

wonder if viewing through this forum adds to your count ?

When you find a channel on a big house you know right away there will be no ice. I have a hook on the side of my ice pick that l use to pull sticks and branches out. The more defined the channels are the better the gang setting in one spot works, clay bottoms are the best in my area.
Took 8 beaver out of that big house.
Jim

I use those tall type stands here even in the spring open water with deeper channels. There very nice and quick to use like you mentioned. Thanks for the video.

I like them in ditches or channels the beavers make to go get feed, makes a deadly set and fast.
