At how many weeks are they able to fend for themselves? Does the female stay denned up after giving birth for a few days or will she still be active?

Curious about this too. Just caught a female who recently had some kits. I kinda want to get into the den and see them.

The females are like most other species, when they give birth they dont leave the den for long. As the young get bigger the females stay out longer. I've caught beaver the size of muskrats in regular beaver sets, they get active outside the den at a surprisingly young age.
