That is the more tame ditches in IA. Head South to see the real coon ditches with huge cottonwoods they cannot cut because they grow deep in the ditches. Those northern IA ditches are nothing. LLL

You're looking to far out the window for coon locations, check out the beat down coon trails in the ditches. Thanks, I'll do that. I take it y'all have ROW trapping? That would make sense as there's lots of "empty" land along these roads.

Used to be in SE Iowa was a coon trail down to mud beside every telephone pole. Straight line path was usually deer. zig zag was more coon.

Yes we have row here. If you go past the field edge to catch coon you've walked too far. Did some ROW in Georgia several years ago working for couple counties catching bvr. I'm 100 miles north of Knoxville right up highway 14 . Could show you around next week if you'd like. I have some fur to process this week in my shed ...prob have knife that'd fit your hand 😜. You don't want me on a knife. LOL I'm a nuisance trapper and ain't put up fur ever.
