kansaskoons OP trapper Joined: Oct 2009 Posts: 1,481 Kansas	I have a 0 jump that has what appears to be aluminum where the dog latches to the pan, it’s what the pan is riveted to also. 52Carl trapper 5 Joined: Jan 2014 Posts: 7,684 Virginia	Will a magnet stick to it? It sure does look original to the trap to me. It looks to have been machine stamped, as opposed to handmade by a trapper, and the rivet looks right.

trapper48 trapper T Joined: Jun 2008 Posts: 351 Missouri	I read somewhere, that they galvanized the pan shanks to eliminate rusting of the shank and the post together, but I don't know for sure where I read it or what the time line was
