It looks like travelers to Alaska still need to test before arriving. I heard that they relaxed this. Has anyone heard different?

One of my workers just came back Sunday evening. They tested him when he got off the plane and said they will email him the results in 3 days. He can't work on base though for 10days after the test.

If you show up with a positive antibodie test result that's not over 90 days old, that will give you the green light too; no quarantine.

Antibody test is only 10 bucks, I'll bet a lot of people have the antibodies and don't even know it.
I just had the test today.

I haven't had so much as a runny nose. I doubt I've had it. It's easy to find sites that tell you that you don't need a negative test since February and that's why I'm wondering if you guys knew for sure

still covid testing done, quarantining required for traveling out of region, I would imagine traveling from out of state would still requiring testing.

Advised does not mean required. They changed that a couple months ago. The health people still make it sound like you are required and the stations are still setup at the airports but just walk on past them.

I got off a plane last night. Walked to baggage. Hailed a cab. Got in another plane today and flew home. No test. No quarantine. Sometimes if I felt like it, no mask. My customers are still banned.

I spoke with the Alaska health department people today. They said everything now is just an advisory, no State mandates. There are a coupe of small local municipalities who have strict rules, but I don't know if anyone really knows how legal or enforceable they are.

Well, go figure. Juneau extended the mask mandate into July, but offers a free vaccine to visitors!
Huh? crazy

If I'm not mistaken, I think all the cruises have been canceled this summer. Don't take my word for it, just what I read recently.

Canadians closed the border for international ships shortly after biden shut down the keystone pipeline. So we won’t get any cruise ships from other countries which was a majority of the tourist industry. Another quiet summer in southeast Alaska.

No large cruise ships this year. Alaska's crappy senators can't seem to get Biden's ear, even after voting to confirm the left-wing liberal secretary of the interior.
As an aside, while I have made it a couple years without censor here, on Paul's site, sadly, the same cannot be said for Dan Sullivan's public comment email address.

You are welcome to get off but I think you are going to have problems finding any cruise ships operating this year.

My Grandson was informed he was in close contact with a classmate with positive covid, he tested, results were negative.
Took him down for a test to return to school per school nurse and received a call from Anchorage health department and was told the test was taken too soon will have to re-test
before returning to school.
Too many rules and opinions to know if you're doing it correctly or not.
