Wednesday night at 7:00PM walleyed's
inner gums and base of tongue started
to swell up from another Angioedema incident.

Armed with a prescription of the steroid
Prednisone in liquid form, and Liquid benadryl,
the symptoms started to abate after about 4 hours.

My blood sugar reading from the steroid
rose to +600-Too high for my glucose meter
to read.

Woke this morning to find my right side upper lip
had swollen to the size of Forest Gump's Buddy
"BUBBA"

Took the steroid and benadryl again, checked my sugar
and found the blood glucose reading was 275 and climbing.

Now waiting for "BUBBA" to leave and walleyed to return.

This is getting old fast.

You on insulin? Or tablets. My wife is type one and steroids reek havoc on her too. BUT she has a fast acting insulin that works in 15 minutes and can take small shots to lower it slowly.

Hope you get it figured out soon and get back on track.

Battled with it for years myself. I take a loratadine 10 mg. every morning or 1/2 tab of benedryl. This has drastically reduced the number of episodes I've had the last couple years

Hopefully you have another Dr's appt. soon. If you're type 2 and under a Dr's care you are aware of lifestyle changes that can help in combatting that. Good luck and take care.
