Great video... I could have used these last fall when I was trying to figure out how to make different sets. I've seen and really enjoyed some of your other videos too Geez... keep up the great work and you'll have enough for your own DVD.

NIce work! I appreciate the effort this takes to put together. Awesome resource for new trappers.
Someone should ask Paul to start a new archive: Video Demonstrations.

Couple of thoughts come to mind with this set that I teach to trapper ed students:
1) Always firmly bed the trap in the mud. A 'coon stepping on the side of the trap may cause it to tilt up and then problems begin. Also, a 'coon may be digging along and flip the trap up.
2) Same goes for the chain. Stick it down in the mud.
3) Go into detail, closeup, on how the earth anchor works for the newbies.
4) Pan looked like it was sticking up in the first set.
5) How about having someone along to hold the camera while you're explaining things?
Good start!

John, Gotcha on the weight element. The little hammer worked anyway, just took a bit longer is all.
Nice presentation! I'll have to admit, your "pocket" holes are the smallest that I have seen or used in that category - much like multiple, smaller holes used to simulate crayfish activity.
Your method has inspired me to try the smaller cavity this fall - never used that size before.
Stay well and have a safe journey.
