This exactly. We lost a drug addict robbing fool, and a tyrant went to prison and lost his job. Overall, a good day for America.

....other than a fair trial, it seems, with a tainted jury.

So, you would rather not read info that was posted about the topic due to your dislike of whom posted it?

Fair question, I suppose. I doubt we'll be able to test your theory. I can't recall when any of the people on my ignore list last posted anything with any accurate info.

George Floyd was going to meet his maker one way or the other, just a matter of time and how and how many other lives he impacted in the process. Derek Chauvin was absolutely a tyrant and should have been removed from his position years ago by the folks who employed and supervised him.. They allowed him to remain in a position he was unsuited for and should never have been in.. Ultimately they allowed this mess to happen.. I don't comment much, and rarely ever on hot topics, but this one really makes my blood boil.. Two fools met here and both got what they were looking for all along.. All the technicalities and hand wringing in the world won't change that fact..Justice is blind and sometimes imperfect, but I believe it was served here in both cases. This is not a race issue unless you personally make it one. My opinion and we all know what that is worth. Sordid chapter in our history and it needs to be closed and done..

In other words, if it doesn't fit Little Jimmy's vision of a libtard utopia then it is untrue no matter what mountain of facts and evidence you hold up. Meanwhile, Little Jimmy will post facts from such reliable sources as The Onion, Buzzfeed, CNN, MSNBC and NPR. Just when I don't think Little Jimmy can get more pathetic, he always figures out a way to impress me. I couldn't imagine someone with his IQ representing me in court. You might as well not even go. It would cost less.

The question asked was, have you been on any marches or demonstration's in Minneapolis. The Juror answered the question as a no. He was in Washington D.C. It was up to the defense attorney to ask or any other place.

I believe it is a grey area, And should get a new trial.

Question is even if a retrial is done in a different state will folks evolved in the case be told again to come back with a guilty verdict or else? Media, celebrities, congress members have all threatened them on the record in the past and that's our justice system as it stands.

He's guilty as the day is long, but, There is something to be said for a fair trial. I doubt anyone believes he won't be convicted even him and his attorney. I know though no matter what the outcome it should still not be a biased foregone conclusion in any case. I have set on several jury's in my 61 years. Down here that's the fate of a registered voter. I sat on 1 murder trial, 1 third strike trial, 1 torte trial and 2 robbery trials. In one of the cases there was actually a trial lawyer on the jury. He was very impressed with the process as he never knew what really happened in the jury room. We were sequestered during the murder trial. I won't say what the outcomes were, but I can honestly say that no one seemed biased or had prejudged the case. We deliberated for 3 days in the murder trial as there were several technical questions that had to be addressed. We also went over the evidence several times. It was a hard decision with someones life on the line. I will say it wasn't a death penalty case thank goodness. I know if I were on trial I would hope I got a fair and unbiased trial. Even though he was absolutely in the wrong and his actions appear to have killed the man and after all the complaints that had been filed on him for similar acts even though they weren't brought in. Even the worst deserves the same a fair trial. JMO

You are right but there was another question that stated have you participated in any protests or marches in addition to above [referencing protests in Minneapolis]against police use of force or police brutality? He said no. This is certainly a lie. In addition to his clothing, the DC protest he attended had Floyd's family and others speaking against use of force.

I think thugs should get to do what they want, they don't want to get in the cop car they shouldn't have to. They get pulled over, they shouldn't have to show their DL or insurance. This is stupid, Chauvin was screwed from the get go. No way He was going to get off.

Tom

I agree that he should have been found guilty, just not on all charges, maybe manslaughter and unintentional homicide. The jury had him guilty even before the trial started out of fear.
A retrial out of state would be ideal. Unfortunately, if would be hard to find the state that would want the chaos that would come with holding the trial.

Here's my take of what Chauvin should face as a just sentence. Eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth.
Give him a bunch of fentanyl and meth, then have someone put their knee on his neck for over 9 minutes. If his heart doesn't give out, set him free.

Based upon the evidence submitted by Chauvin's lawyer, it is clear it was not a fair trial!!!!

Based upon the video that everyone has seen Floyd might certainly be alive if one overzealous cop had backed off. Why didn't he back off?? Think about a huge crowd, including an arrogant teen with a camera telling an arrogant cop what to do. Floyd was dead, and the crowd, as well as the cop should share the blame.

Chauvin needs a new trial. Every one in that crowd should get one too!

BTW, I think 52Carl is on to something.

Cops knee was not on his neck. Watch the video instead of CNN. Quit spouting off libtard talking points and do a little research!
