I heard someone mention a new trap that was created by Tim Caven and/or his crew, and was currently being tested. That was late last summer/early fall. It came from a reputable source but I’ve not found any mention of it on here or anywhere else online.

I’ve done my best not to ask up until now but, curiosity has taken its toll on me.

Anyone heard anything? If not I’ll assume I was fed bad info.

If anything will be released, around the NTA convention is usually when something is announced.

I would hope to see these at the summer convention here in MN.

I asked them about it on March 18 and they said “with the pandemic and help being hard to come by we are trying to get our traps we have on the market built.”

You have to keep reinventing the wheel if you want to keep selling stuff.

Gun makers are always coming out with a new cartridge but its rare when something is introduced that is an improvement over whats already available.

I still like the idea Glen Sterling came up with to lock down both jaws. That makes trap bedding so much faster and easier.

Sometimes something new really works. Often its just marketing that becomes a fad that fades away. Pretty common for a marketer to have his marketing repeated over and over ad nauseum by acolytes.

Not much is really new in trap development. Some stuff just keeps reappearing

Sterling will likely never be topped, the bar has been set high and right there it will stay for a loooong time, probably forever.

MB's are tough traps, but as with most things there are some drawbacks for less money.
