The trap tags are on all the DLS and a few of the singles. I will gladly give them back to the owner if they were stollen. I doubt I could figure out exactly who dumped them because they had been there a while, prog a day or 2, and some stuff had been unloaded on top of them. I live in Houghton Lake, MI and the trap tag address was Muskegon,Mi. That is not uncommon since we are north and a lot of people hunt, fish and trap here from out of town. I think the one who said they were thrown out by ignorant family members is right. The one trap is a Herter no whatever spell check put in there and I am not even sure I spelled it correctly. Has anyone ever seen or used a single coil trap before? I didn't know there was such a thing but that is how it was built. Not modified to that.
Wish I had more time to trap....

Use that single coil for rats. A fairly common trap.
At one point in the 1970s, Victor made a single coil trap. Not very popular. After a couple of years, they went to a double coil, which was much more popular.
Single coils can be a bit touchy to set at first, especially if you have big hands.
Nice find, BTW. Nancy the trap Jedi. Lol.

I have about a dozen of those too Chris, they were in a box of traps I got from an old trapping partner when I bought his line.He used them for the old style marten spruce cubby sets.Like you said-very light trap for rats. They had the jaw tabs turned to the inside.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.
