Didn't these traps all have double jaws? Were they only single long spring also? Thanks ahead for you time.

The #22 Victor long spring was part of a series of three, double jaw traps the #21, 21 1/2 and 22, corresponding to the #1, 1 1/2 and 2 Victor long springs made by Animal Trap Company. These traps were made for a short time in the early 1930's.

In the mid 1930's Animal Trap Company came out with a round jaw #22 coil spring, double jaw trap that corresponded with the #2 Victor coil spring.

In the mid 1940's the #22 round jaw coil spring trap was replaced with a square, double jaw trap corresponding to the #2 Victor coil spring. The #1 1/2 Victor double jaw coil spring trap was a # 1 1/2D.

So, to answer your question, Yes, the #22 Victor traps are all double jaw.

Good post snakecollector.

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.
