You could use the Hagz brackets on each spring if you need to suspend the trap near the surface of a deep channel/run. Gosh, I didn’t think of that, and I have 2 more dozen in bags right now.

3 nail method, a dry pole and a guide stick to prevent the trap from swinging.

Slide a pole through the spring eyes. Get your desired depth pull one spring up to lock the trap in place.

3 nail method, a dry pole and a guide stick to prevent the trap from swinging. 3 mail method? One for the sprang and 2 for the jaws? 3 for the jaws-work great for suspending trap under a dive pole also. Also good for other species like on a running pole. Once the trap springs it is free of the pole. I like it here since its easy to find a dry pole anywhere,so only have to carry wire, a few nails, traps and an axe to make the sets. Don know if you have dry poles available where you trap. Its a pain stabilizing bodygrips for beaver in rocky ground.

In gravel bottoms I've been using 2 1/2 24 inch rerods hammered in the bottom in a V spaced so the trap with the springs cranked up so it comes free when a beaver gets wacked.
