True.
I got the impression he wanted away or ok with getting away from the lefty, but if not, like you said he can buy a left bolt. McMaster Carr or fastenall are a couple places to look. Our hardware store has a slim selection.

Probably a metric size. Should not be that difficult to find but first you have to determine the diameter and thread pitch. I suspect someone like Grainger or MSC Industrial supples would have what you need. Since it is listed as obsolete, Bosch might give you the size specs. I would call their customer service number and ask.

M8 x 30mm Left hand flange bolt but not sure of thread pitch. Most M8 bolts I found listed were 1.25 pitch.

A regular right hand drill bit will back out a left hand thread. Once the broken off stud is out, you should be able to use a thread pitch gauge or take it to the nearest auto parts store and have them thread nuts onto the stud until they find the right one. Once you know what the diameter and thread are, McMaster Carr will have the bolt you need.

I would just order one here

Left wing nuts are easier to find here though

If you still don't have any luck, try local small engine shop. Weedeater cutting head bolts are LH, and about that size. Even if you had to get a stud or stem, and weld a nut on it.

Check with your local Lowes. Looks like Dewalt uses an M8 left hand thread also. Take the broken one with you to match size and approximate length.

Scott, If you can't find one, send it to me. I have the tools to measure size and thread pitch, both metric and SAE. I AM the 'Make it happen guy'. PM me for my address. Charlie

Just found a question/answer on ereplacements website that said that Dewalt Part Number:145344-01 is an M8 x 20mm 1.25 pitch left hand thread flange bolt. Should work just fine. Here is a link: ereplacementParts
