Has anyone had any experience with the Non Grip Trap from Mike Matney? Just interested in what results are like with Muskrats. I listened to the podcast from Trapping Inc. Has me thinking, sounds like they are better than traditional floats for muskrats? Very expensive but very interesting

They are a repeating trap. muskrat access' the main chamber at water level. door closes behind it. there is a large cage below the water they swim into and drown. In the spring in the right places they are a phenomenal tool.

Very intricate design,

I think they were half that price when they were first introduced at the last NTA in Ohio. Steel prices are up a lot and muskrat prices down 1/3 since then...

You can make your own version with chickenwire and a few boards.

Owned one for a couple years. Only legal on a permit here since it is a designed to drown. Had a population boom here that warranted owning one for damage work. Number of rats is minimal here again.

I had some muskrat sized live traps that were set On a small float. When the rat entered the trap and set It off It's struggles would tip the trap over and it would drown. I used them In those ponds In condo complexes. They worked pretty good.
