Good Morning. I am over run with chipmunks. I set some number one Victor's with peanut butter and black sunflower seeds. Caught a couple, but not that much activity. Anyone made a five gallon bucket trap with water where they fall in and drown? Any suggestions would be great?

I use a Victor rat trap with metal trigger. Bend up metal trigger and impale a local nut on it. I catch hundreds this way with Chinese chestnuts on them. I have a few trees in my yard and freeze the nuts to use all year after they drop

My suggestion would be to take a sip of your favorite adult beverage. The moment you clear out the family of chipmunks that live on your property, the ones next store will notice their absence and move in.

What limestone said.

If you have good habitat and live in an area or neighborhood with activity they will fill in pretty quick once you trap a few locally. Time will bear this out.
