I love using honey especially in baits and i've found that sometimes the honey will seem to change and smells a little strange. Has anybody every tried using this before? How has it worked?

Honey is a very good attractant. Honey/comb/fresh or old makes for a good attractant and ingredient. It will add both odor and taste. Sugars can cause fermentation and some chemical reaction activity at times within a lure or bait but learn to work with it and it should be a good product.

Willow and Aspen trees will give the castor 2 different smells the Aspen is often tan looking and sweeter smelling and the willow orangeish and sour smelling.
